All Out Cricut

It’s not even March and I’m already on my third trip! This time, just back to the Great Mitten State, Michigan, for a bit to take care of a few things and to visit my family. (I haven’t seen them since Thanksgiving!) It’s hard to keep crafting when I’m busy packing/unpacking for/from trips. Nonetheless, my memory planner is getting caught up to date; hoping to do some of those posts soon.

Meanwhile, I took out my Cricut Air 2 and had some fun. I didn’t have the energy to create via stamping, so I decided to take out my cutter and have some fun making 3D cards. 3D projects are getting more an more popular as the Cricut and Silhouette very available in the market. I purchased this Back to School Box Cards SVG Kit from SVGCUTS a while back and decided that it’s time to put it to good use.

I only used the main apple card frame, leaf, and center panel. All the cardstock and pattern papers are from what I had in my stash. This card can stand perfectly by itself. On the back of the card, I put a blank white panel for personal message space. Also, it folds perfectly flat and fits perfectly inside a 5×7″ envelope. (Note: The cut file does provide an envelope cut, in case you want to make your own envelope)

A week behind

Just got back home last night from our vacation with family in Canada. It was so relaxing and lots of good memories made with family. Obviously, I took way too many pictures to fit into this Happy Memory Planner. I printed my “highlight” photos for this memory planner, intending that I will do traditional scrapbooking with the additional photos.

As you can see, the first half of the week, I was doing on a crafty mojo. From Thursday on (well, technically Wednesday too), I was focusing on packing and getting ready for our vacation. My husband is always busy at work, so I don’t want him to worry about little things. It’s vacation, so I want him to enjoy himself as much as possible.

I like to keep “artifacts” such as tickets, menus, flyers, etc. I thought our boarding passes were total keepsakes and included them as well.

And what a treat! We were given tickets to Toronto Maple Leafs, second row behind the goalie! Inside, I’m still a Red Wings fan, but I didn’t like the Bruins, so I’m okay with putting on the Leafs jersey for this game and rooted for my husband’s team for the evening.

Coloring & Relaxing

I’m still enjoying a time off with family in Canada. And of course I though crafting-on-the-go with me! I had pre-stamped & embossed all images on to 110lb cardstock and stuffed my bags with watercolor supplies.

Before leaving the house, I used my MISTI to stamped all of MFT’s Sweet Succulents images with VersaMark and embossed in white and satin. I did stamped several in black and embossed in clear as well. I have sheets of all these images for me to color throughout my vacation. It’s quite relaxing!

In regarding to my 2019 crafty plans… I will resume upon my return home! I already have lots of ideas and can’t wait to start making!
